Iino naho is a Japanese glass artist. Her designs are like catching the sensitive beauty in a second and make it into beautiful new thing..
いま、いちばん好きだなあと思った生地。それは、こんな美しい椅子に使われていました。 デンマークの Fritz Hansen フリッツ・ハンセン社や Kvadrat クヴァドラ社とコラボレーションしたもの・・
Her husband is also well known artist - Akira MInagawa, designer of Minä Perhonen. All his designs are poetic and wonderful.....he also made such a beautiful chair by collaborating with Fritz Hansen and Kvadrat.
Liberty collection 2010 autumn winter includes collection called "Japanese artists". One of the designers is Akira MInagawa, known as a designer for Minä Perhonen.
Other designers of the collection is Yoshie Watanabe, graphic designer who is also well known by her sensitive and beautiful designs for books. Her fabric design reminds me of mysterious forest and also somehow Japanese - makes me feel natural and relaxed by looking at her fabric designs..
And the last designer is Tsumori Chisato - she has arranged the famous designs by William Mollis in her special beautiful and unique way and made "Akinobu". Her designs are so alive and fresh. I wish to make a cushion cover out of this fabric..
Liberty リバティの生地は見ているだけで夢をふくらましてくれます。
Just by looking at them, liberty fabrics makes me imaginative..
We have moved to Svendborg from Østerbro, Copenhagen in 2008. And then to Odense from Svendborg in September, 2009. Since then we never had any time to fix home until now..., because we have our own shop and the first priority was to fix office and run a company. Moreover Jacob is a sailor who is away from home for half of the time. And as I came from Tokyo where most people are not familiar with fixing home by themselves, I had never had an experience to put things on wall, never knew how to assemble even IKEA furnitures - although I am learning now and so keen on doing more. And we had a problem with a vacancy for daycare place for Gustav. There are not enough "dagplejemor" - daycare mom in our area and no vacancy in "vuggestue". It has been so hard for us especially Gustav to be sent to many substitute daycare mom, many new places all the time.......6 o'clock in early morning suddenly there is a call from daycare centre and told where we must go for that day. And then had to check a map where to go for that day. That was hard for me too who has been alone with Gustav. And hear him cry when I leave the place, where it is completely new for him.....
But finally he might get a place in a "vuggestue" or stable "dagplejemor". And most likely he can go to a Schteiner's kindergarden right next to forest and just right next to our house when he turns 3 years old - Oh I am so happy about it.
Jacob will stop sailing and focus and work fully for our company. We will have more time to relax, fix home by ourselves, and focus on developing our company. Little Gustav would have lots of fun with his daddy, and his mom would not be as tired and sick as she used to be for long time.
These days we spend a few days to fix home to make at least functinal. We bought a bed and many shelves at IKEA. Now we have a bed room, living room with Gustav's play area and his own room, my work room.
It is still a long way to go. Our stairways have to be completely fixed, all the rooms with old old carpets has to be changed with new carpets or floor and walls must be painted. Old broken kitchen has to be replaced with new one.
The house has never been fixed since 60-70's. We do not own this house but we are allowed to fix it as we like.
The most thing Gustav was happy about was a music from stereo. He quietly listen and dance - and clap hands. And a little choo-choo-train lamp which Jacob has fixed.
I am so happy....thank you to Jacob.
It is so nice to make home nicer even though it is a lot of work.
Anyone deserves to live in a nice place. I felt that so much when I used to live in Svendborg, a place so called "gettoo" in that area. Of course it is in this very developed country Denmark so it is not like a real gettoo. The apartments were made nice, and kommune was doing many things to keep the place nice. There were many nice sweet people there too. But the forest and playground was filled with garbage.....In the kindergarden, some people throws cigarettes and empty beer bottles there and every morning, people who works in kidergarden have to pick them up for the safety of children. The forest close to our home now in Odense is so beautiful. I am so happy about it... Any children deserves to walk around in a forest like this, I think...
